If the person you describe as a confidante and lover tells you she is sick to the point that she requires $234 worth of anti-biotics and spent the weekend scrounging around for child care so she could sleep and get better…
…would you not follow up and see how she’s feeling?

Yes, I would follow up and see how she’s feeling.
I might even do that if she wasn’t my confidante and lover. Like, say for a friend. Or any good person in my life.
How are you feeling? Sorry to hear that the weekend was such a drag.
Thank you for that. I’m a caring person. And I’d like to think that the people I surround myself with are the caring sort as well.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say, “yes”. But that’s just me.
And that, CBG, is why Sunshine scooped you up…
Oh no. I’m so sorry. Yes. I would have followed up. I likely would have brought soup. And pickled beets .
I’m so sorry that you are feeling sick. I’m glad that you took a minute to let us know how you are doing.
Hugs from me to you! And I wish I was closer to help with child care.
Ughhhh…pickled beets. Can’t do it. But soup? I would gladly accept. Stop by anytime. With or without food!
I’ve got a bunch of posts I’m fleshing out and want to post this week/end because I’m kidlet-free, but I keep on leaving my Spiderman notebook with my scribbled thoughts at class.
Thanks for hugs and thoughts about child care.
So… it’s been over a week. Has the person in question atoned? Or do we need to beat him over the head with a clue stick?
He’s a project. And I’m not up for taking on a project. Will keep you posted.
