Bad Mummy: suddenly 30 with the soul of a 80-year old and the sense of humor of a 12-year old. Stumbling thru life with an unquiet mind and no sense of direction.
The Mook: my Libra drama-queen, established 2005. Piss and vinegar. A going concern. Mayhem and chaos with sticky kisses. She who keeps me going.
Critter: my transitional lover from back in the day (circa 2007) and best buddy. He drives me crazy, but is also there when I need him. Bonus: he does dishes and brings me ice cream.
The Former Mister: Dumb-ass I was married to. The Mook’s dad. My co-parent. A shit load of other terms that I’m refraining from using because I’m trying to find some closure. (Hah! Closure!)

When I’m not parenting solo, I’m either recovering or preparing to do it again.
I think too much.
I’m sarcastic and cynical in nature and nurture. I’m jaded and untrusting and at the end of the day I wonder what the fuck is wrong with humanity.

Hey, just thought I’d say hi and that I just ordered Cutting Loose after I saw your comment on TorontoMama’s blog. Thanks for the tip.
I’m a newly single Mom with 2 boys (1.75 & 4.5) living outside of Toronto and it SUCKS sometimes but all of you other Moms in the same situation make me feel like I can do it and reading everyone’s posts, good & bad HELPS.
Love your bio above.
Hey Lindsey – thanks for reading and commenting. I had a copy of the book, but passed it along to someone who was going thru a very ugly divorce. Wish I still had a copy to read and remind me about the good stuff. They should just hand it out in the waiting rooms of divorce lawyers.
Feel free to e-mail me if you want to chat, vent, etc. I’ve been rocking the single mum gig for almost 2 years now. The Mook was the same age as your little one when we split. Oh, and if you’re newly single, have you had a chance to file taxes as such? It might change the amount of CCTB you get and every tiny amount helps.
yay. Glad to have found you. You are the kind of cyber peep I need!!!
I especially love: ” when I’m not parenting solo, I’m recovering or preparing to do it again.”
My life right now is parenting and recovering and cleaning the fucking house and then doing it again.
